Soulfist is a pretty challenging class to play optimally and the two builds require different skillsets to pilot so when I have the resources I'll definitely set-up a robust spirit gearset for fun. If you don't have a ton of time to play, play what you think is fun. It also has one of the best "flows" out of all the classes I have played.
